BLVK H3RO (pronounced Black Hero) is a Jamaican dancehall artist redefining reggae with fearless creativity, a global vision and commanding live performances. Widely regarded as one of the leading voices of reggae’s new wave, he bridges roots tradition with cutting-edge global sounds, positioning himself at the forefront of the genre’s evolution. Raised in a religious home, he began playing drums at age 8 and gained attention as a singer for his positive, socially conscious lyrics. Born in Waterford, Portmore, he was raised by a Pentecostal deacon father and an evangelist mother. He was exposed to both church music and the vibrant sounds of the Sting festival and his sweet Jamaica homeland environment.
BLVK H3RO redefines modern reggae with his genre-blending sound and electrifying performances. He earned a 2023 Grammy nomination for Best Global Music Performance.
